Room was spacious and tastefully decorated.Breakfast was excellent.Staff were the friendliest we have ever come across.Early evening you receive a knock on your door, asked if everything is ok and given 2 chocolates. On the evenings we were out on our return we found the chocolates put on our pillows with a card wishing us goodnight.Location is a bit far north , however the metro is 5 minutes away and only about 3 stops to Baxia - wouldn't let location put me off staying again. Great value for the price we paid (4th night free)
Top Tip
Don't be afraid to use the local transport. For 4 euro you can travel all day on the metro , bus and tram.We tried the lot even going out as far as Belem which is well worth a visit.Sintra is easy by public transport -blue line for about 5 stops and then a train for about 1/2 an hour. When you get off the train there is a shuttle bus to take you up to the Palace for 4 euro return. If you are a sports fan a trip to Benfica is a must ,the tour was the best we have ever experienced and again it was easy to reach by metro.Lisbon is a fascinating mix of old and new and of rich and poor.It is busy but still felt relaxed.

Location: not in centre but close to a Metro station.
Service/Staff: best buffet breakfast ever. Great variety from fruit/cereals to croissants/hot breakfast, it was fresh and plenty of it.
When we checked in the staff gave us maps and showed us where to go to see the sights.
Top Tip
Get a 'travel card' to go on the Metro, busses and trams for Euros10.50 for three days. Get the No28 tram which takes you around Alfama, Baixa and Bairro Alto ( a good way to see the city)

it was a superb hotel - close to metro 3/4 minutes walk, not many restaurants within easy walking distance, but very easy to reach numerous places via metro
