A modest hotel in a superb location, this would be an ideal base for exploring Lisbon. With not many facilities it's maybe not the best choice if you're travelling with children but the charming interior and central location make it perfect for couples on a short weekend break.
Built by a Portuguese lawyer in 1886, with the architecture reflecting that era, the Veneza Hotel is a magnificent building which was fully redecorated in 2000. There is an elegant stairway leading to the upper floors, where there are 36 comfortable guestrooms, all well decorated and tastefully furnished. The hotel also has a bar where guests can enjoy a delicious drink.
